The 2nd Lt. Richard W. Collins III Foundation was established by Dawn and Richard W. Collins Jr. on August 23, 2017 after the untimely death of their son, 2nd Army Lt. Richard W. Collins III .  They are committed to championing social justice while inspiring future leaders and raising public support to eliminate the culture of hate from American society.
